What Is Klinofeed?

Klinofeed is a unique silicate of sedimentary origin from the clinoptilolite group.

Due to the special preparation of Klinofeed, the extraordinary binding properties of the material are activated.

Due to its crystalline pore structure, Klinofeed has a gigantic active surface (approx. 400 m2/g), through which the various molecules can be excellently bound.

Klinofeed has a very high binding affinity to various harmful substances such as ammonia, cadmium, and so on and is thus very interesting as a harmful substance binding agent in feeding and animal husbandry.
Klinofeed itself is free of harmful substances (dioxin, etc.) and has an approval as a feed and food additive.

Klinofeed - Binding and Free-Flow Agents

Klinofeed achieves a better flowability of flour-like feed and improves the quality of the pellets.

The binding of free water in dry feeds leads to a reduction of the
aw value and thus to a longer shelf life.

Economic Efficiency of Klinofeed

With low costs per animal and day, the use of Klinofeed leads to more safety and constant animal performance.

Klinofeed in the Feeding of Pigs

The effect of fibre and selective binding of harmful substances of Klinofeed in particular are important for pig production. The effect of fibre supports digestion and intestinal health.

The metabolism is relieved through the binding of ammonia in the lower intestinal tract. The stall climate is considerably improved.

Klinofeed selectively binds harmful substances and toxins without binding nutritive elements like vitamins, amino acids, and so on in the process.

Through the use of Klinofeed for pig livestock, the animal performance is stabilised and improved.
Positive effects on the various performance parameters, such as daily weight gains and feed utilisation, have been scientifically proven on several occasions.

Klinofeed in the Feeding of Cows

Deficits in the quality of the base feed (moulds, reheatings) reduce the milk production and reproduction output.

Through the selective binding of harmful substance, Klinofeed increases feeding safety throughout the year.

Due to the relief of the metabolism, the health and performance of the animals are stabilised.

When Klinofeed is used all year long with dairy cows, practicians have determined considerably lower milk cell content and reduced claw problems.

Klinofeed in the Feeding of Fowl

In the fattening of fowl and the keeping of laying hens, the use of Klinofeed results in the following advantages:

• Lower faecal moisture
• Dryer strewing
• Fewer dirty eggs
• Improved egg shell quality
• Better stall climate
• Lower mortality
• Fewer changes in the balls of the feet

Recommendations for Use

Improvement of the flowability of the feed: 1 – 2%

Improvement of pelletising: 1 – 2%

Pigs: 1 – 2% in complete feed

Fowl: 1 – 2% in complete feed

Older adult bulls and cows and young adult bulls: 100 g per animal and day

Calves: 30 – 50 g per animal and day

Klinofeed can be fed straight or mixed in with the TMR, mineral, or supplemental feed. It is tasteless and well-accepted by the animals.
