History
For over 40 years, we have been dealing with the manufacturing of feed and the conversion of ancillary products from the food industry into feed.
In 1965, Bonamin GmbH was founded in Hamm, Westphalia.
The object of the company was trade with ancillary products and the manufacturing of mash. The company traded in ancillary products of the starch, dairy, and brewery industries. In the company’s own mash factory, supplementary feed, mineral feed, and premixes especially adapted to the ancillary products were manufactured.
From 1970 to 1995, more than 400,000 pigs were successfully fattened with ancillary products and the special supplements in the company's own pig fattening operations. In this time, the concept of comprehensive recycling in an enclosed material circuit was developed.
This concept was the basis for NRG GmbH, founded in 1991. In 1995, this company started producing high-energy supplementary feed based on the ancillary products of the food processing industry at the new site in Hamm Bockum-Hövel.
